My name is Debra Spector. I've been a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist in private practice since 1990 with an office located in Commack, New York.

After receiving my Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Oneonta in General Management and Clinical Dietetics, I began my career as a Food Service Manager. I was responsible for the start-up of a Kosher kitchen for a managed healthcare residence. Ultimately I was responsible for all aspects of the operation including managing the staff. My passion is helping people, not running a business. As a result, I left and thus began my path on the Clinical side. In addition to my B.S. degree, I also have a Master's from Long Island University.

My years of experience include my private practice, as well as hosting support groups, conducting worksite cholesterol screenings and bio-electrical impedance with the American Heart Association and running wellness programs with local fire departments across Long Island. Helping my community and impacting the health, happiness and well-being of my patients is what motivates me. I have developed literature for publication, and have been quoted frequently in the media.

With the modern world and advances in technology, in addition to updates in HIPAA regulation, my office is now offering virtual follow up appointments in the form of phone sessions or Zoom online visits.
